As you may have guessed from the title, we have lots of new services and ideas to offer this coming year. Big changes have been made to improve our customer service and bring you a more comprehensive and streamlined customer experience. Let’s get started!
Over the last several years, we have been shopping for a slightly larger office space, and closed on a building in Lafayette towards the end of last year. We’ve renovated the space and created an office that is both personal and creative. We have more room than in our previous location and have more opportunity for growth in the coming years. The fresh, open layout gives us room to move around with secondary rooms for client meetings, storage, and even an office for the boss. The majority of our windows look west towards Boulder with great views of the mountains and surrounding open spaces. We made the move in December and are continuing to put finishing touches on the office.

Just west of 287, the move puts us 11 miles south of our Longmont office. For our clients located in Longmont, we hope that any inconvenience associated with the distance is offset by a more pleasant client experience, including a better meeting / presentation space, more parking, more consultation opportunities and a stronger strategic support system.
As some of you know, our website was severely outdated and desperately needed a facelift. We are excited to announce the launch of our new website (www.BKMediaGroup.com)! We will be adding new content and services to the site over the next few months along with lots of great new blog posts, so stay tuned!
Every year our team gets together after the holidays to discuss the highs and lows of the previous year and what changes can be made moving forward. This year we kicked off our meeting in Chautauqua, at the base of the Flatirons. We discussed what new tools, programs and applications each team member would be using to improve our offerings and workflow, what changes would be happening within each department and what changes we would like to see for the company.
Productive as it was, there was no way we could sit around a conference room all day with the Flatirons right outside the door, so we set out on a group hike before lunch. All-in-all it was a great way to start 2015!
A few takeaways: This month we will be restructuring our development platform and hosting, improving our knowledge base with classes and conferences and using more tools to provide more services to our clients.
This year we are taking the “mobile first” approach. Researchers predict that mobile browsing will increase significantly in 2015 and we are prepared. Mobile development will be reviewed during the beginning stages of a project, not at the end.
While the browsing experience is different for desktop and mobile users, we want to ensure that your site looks great and works correctly for both of them!
This year we are getting into the nitty-gritty of project management. We are developing new project timelines and restructuring how your project flows through our office. Our timelines will be based around project milestones with a clear set of deliverables for each.
Our goal is to get your website live so you can start making money, capturing leads or spreading the word faster. We will be enforcing a new set of milestones for our clients to help projects stay on-track and get done in a timely manner.
This year we are moving many of our SEO and CRO services over to a monthly billing system. Clear deliverables will be set each month and timelines will be sent out accordingly.

We have been working hard to develop an in-depth analytics service to better track traffic to and engagement on your website. We have recently partnered with several large companies like KISSmetrics to bring you more detailed analytic reporting. Our goal for 2015 is to find where your clients are leaving your website and improve conversion rates.
